How is the pickup point saved to the Shopify order?

It is written to the order attributes and a metafield with the point id, name, address and courier. You see it in the Shopify order, in CSV exports, and Shipdock uses it when creating the shipment.

What happens when a customer does not choose a pickup point?

The order is tagged Unselected and the customer gets a reminder email about five minutes later with a link to choose. You can also assign the nearest point in one click from the order.

Is the pickup point data up to date?

Yes. The databases of 20 networks are synced automatically, the large networks hourly and most others daily, so closed branches disappear and new parcel lockers appear without any work on your side.

Can I hide parcel lockers or certain networks?

Yes. For couriers with several networks, such as Packeta, you can switch whole networks on or off per country, for example show only parcel shops and hide parcel lockers.

Can I offer home delivery and pickup points together?

Yes. Home delivery and pickup point delivery are separate shipping options, and the customer chooses between them when ordering.

What the pickup point widget does

List and map

A scrollable list with courier logos next to a Google map with markers, address and opening hours for every point. The map uses your own Google Maps key.

Search by address

Customers search by address, city or postcode. Results are sorted by distance, up to 40 points per search.

Parcel lockers and parcel shops

Z-Boxes, ParcelShops, Paczkomat lockers, AlzaBoxes and post offices. You decide which networks to offer, per country.

Saved to the order

The chosen point is stored on the Shopify order with its id, name, address and courier, and is used when the label is created.

Email reminder

If a customer forgets to choose a point, the order is tagged and Shipdock sends a reminder email with a link to pick one.
